Reviewing B/L and AWB Drafts and Requesting Corrections

A review sequence for party, cargo, and transport information before documents are issued.

A Bill of Lading (B/L) and Air Waybill (AWB) contain important transport-party and cargo information. Compare each draft with the Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Letter of Credit, and other applicable records.

If an error is found, send one consolidated request showing each current entry and exact replacement text. Changes after final issuance or departure may require carrier approval, supporting records, additional charges, or extra time.
